The Shad Derby is a long standing tradition in Windsor, Connecticut. It is not just one festival day. No, it is a full season-long series of activities culminating in the highly anticipated Shad Derby Parade!

Many of the town's civic groups get involved by sponsoring one of the many fun activities such as the craft fair or road race. The proceeds of every Shad Derby event go right back into the community thorugh scholarships, senior assistance programs, etc
