$10 per person or $50 for a team of up to 6
Think you know everything? Put it to the test at the Shad Derby Trivia Contest. Teams of up to 6 members (age 21 and up only) can compete across five rounds of questions that will test your knowledge on local history, pop culture, and fish. Prizes will be given for contest winners, best team name, and best shad costume (yes, we’ve added a costume contest!). Join us for a good time, good drinks, and a race for the so-gaudy-it's-cool Trivia Trophy.

Windsor Shad Derby Festival

The Windsor Shad Derby Festival is a long standing New England Tradition. The tradition began in 1955 with an annual fishing tournament to raise awareness of the growing pollution of the Connecticut River. In 1966, as the Derby grew in size a parade and festivities on the Windsor Town Green were added to celebrate & commemorate the Shad Derby Festival and promote the best of the local area through it's many resources, businesses and organizations.
