Windsor Town Green 10:00 am - 4:00 pm This event is hosted by the Windsor Jaycees and the Windsor Shad Fest Bureau. As the Shad Always Return to Windsor, so do the many local New England civic groups, organizations, businesses, food vendors, crafters, exhibitors, parade participants and live entertainment to the Windsor Shad Derby. Shad Derby Day truly is Windsor's Most Beloved Springtime Tradition!!! The Festival includes activities on the green, a parade, and a 5K run and walk. The Windsor Town Green is packed with plenty of local entertainment - magicians, games, musicians, and family fun activities for all ages. There are also vendors with lots of goodies for sale. Civic groups and local organizations also have booths to provide information. There is also a beer garden. There is so much packed onto the Windsor Town Green that it is easy to see why thousands of people flock to Windsor every year on the third Saturday in May for Shad Derby Day.
